Process and Progress #1
A few weeks back I decided that with the artistic direction that this class has taken and it's focus around the project, that I would create my website pertaining to my favorite artist; Mac Miller. So, the past few weeks I've been trying to develop a game plan for what I want to include in my website and how I will do it. I've done research on a lot of his pieces and different stages in life, along with having a relatively large prior knowledge on him, so as a result I believe that I can piece together many varying pieces of text on him to cover his life story and display his art. This week I decided that the simplest way to begin filling my website with information about Mac Miller would be to write an introduction piece on him for those that are less familiar. I found it rather easy to write because it was something I actually found interesting and important. Next week I plan to write another piece possibly critiquing a piece of his work.
Hey Connor, I the idea you've got going and I'm interested to see how it goes. I like how you are focusing on one person and there contribution to the arts; instead of an entire style. I'm going to be interested in how the entire website comes out. I'm assuming you are going to have the sections broken up into the different periods in his life, and then continue into some of his top hits over the years? I'm guessing you are also going to have links to some of his songs? I'm very interested to see how this progresses over time.
ReplyDeleteHi Connor, I think its a really interesting idea that you chose to focus on an artist as a whole and all of there work instead of choosing works of art from multiple artists. Mac Miller is a very dynamic person with a lot of amazing works of art that influenced a lot of culture so there is so much to be unpacked. I am excited to take a look at your site and see what you write about
ReplyDeleteHey Connor, the primary focus on Mac Miller is a great idea! Mac definitely contributed to the world of arts in so many ways. Also, its a great idea to introduce him because not a lot of people know his music and Mac himself. Are you going to address his battle with addiction and how that influenced his music?
